2. Looking down into a mirror (preferably magnified), start at the base of the lashes using light zigzag strokes working up to the tips of the lashes, the zigzag technique helps to prevent lashes sticking together and gives them a more ‘feathery’ appearance
3. Now gently apply to the bottom lashes
4. Allow to dry before applying a 2nd coat using the same technique as above
5. For added drama apply a 3rd coat, this gives a glamorous intensity to the eyes – perfect for a night out or special occasion
6. For ‘doll eyes’ lashes: Avoid applying mascara to the top of your upper lashes as this forces them to fall flat and straight, instead, apply underneath to create a beautiful ‘doll eyes’ look.

Say hello to the brains behind our beauty range! Lily Lolo Mineral Cosmetics is the brain child of the visionary Vikki Khan, who first fell in love with mineral makeup whilst travelling many moons ago. Vikki loved the coverage she could get from such a lightweight foundation, but sadly the search for the perfect brand was disappointing to say the least. So throwing caution to the wind, Vikki founded Lily Lolo and the rest as they say is history. Today Lily Lolo is an award winning mineral cosmetics range found in selected beauty salons. It has achieved cult status by beautifully harmonizing natural, chemical free ingredients with the ultimate in mineral based technology. Every product is free from harsh chemicals, dyes and fillers and even has antibacterial properties to help improve the skin. Our foundations, powders and bronzers give women the flawless, airbrushed complexion they so badly crave. Whilst our vibrant eye shadows have the ultimate staying power and make the most of all your god given assets… Give yourself the gift of effortlessly gorgeous skin! Our promise to you is no nasties, no parabens, no synthetic dyes and definitely no nano-particles and of course – fabulous healthy products! Founders Q&A What inspired you to create your brand?
I started buying mineral makeup from the US in 2004 and when my friends and I saw the results, I realized there was a big gap in the UK market for stylish, affordable natural makeup. I had no idea back then that the green beauty movement would grow so rapidly and that we’d eventually be selling our products all over the world. I felt a little unfulfilled in my day job and really started Lily Lolo as a side project, within 3 months I’d quit my job to run the business full time! If you could go back to the beginning of the creation of your brand what would you do differently?
I’d be braver and would have developed new products more rapidly. I’d also worry much less! What advice do you have to offer for those entrepreneurs in the green beauty industry just starting out?
Be passionate about your products and what they’re doing for your customers. Keep your standards high and celebrate every little achievement. It can often feel like things aren’t happening fast enough in
