Description Laurel Skin Unburden Serum Deep Tranquility is a concentrated moisturizer, serum, and elemental defense oil in one. Its name comes from its ability to support all skin functions by lifting the burden of rosacea, redness, broken capillaries, excessive dryness, loss of elasticity, and even hyperpigmentation. Laurel Skin Unburden Serum Deep Tranquility encourages and supports cellular functioning to continue with ease and grace, transforming skin to a state of tranquility. Gluten Free, for cystic acne, and sensitive, inflamed, reactive skin. – 100% Whole Plant Organic – 28 Beneficial Active Ingredients – Size: 30ml Formula Update We know what you’re thinking. Why would we change the formula of our cult favorite best-selling product?! Well, we promise that we didn’t change too much. In fact, many of you who already use the Anti-Inflammatory Serum will most likely not notice a change in scent or use. The ingredient list didn’t change too much at all, with the exception of the removal of Neroli and Blue Tansy, and the addition of Chia Seed and Blue Chamomile. We have had so much positive feedback from this popular Serum, but at the same time we simply knew we could make it just slightly better, so we did. We altered some of the ratios of lipid oils to increase some of our anti-inflammatory favorites like Evening Primrose, Pomegranate, and Tamanu – and we added Chia Seed. The increase of these more ‘cushiony’ oils soften and slow the delivery of some of the other more potent botanicals such as Baical Skullcap, Licorice Root, and Helichrysum, which makes this serum now easier for even the most reactive skin types to gently take in. While this product already had the lowest percentage of essential oils of any of our products, we still lowered it and edited it just a bit, to be even more widely well-received by those who are highly reactive. Remember that when we use essential oils as a brand, they are chosen for their specific medicinal properties, not to scent our products. And the essential oils in our Unburden Serum are ones with great ability to repair, de-stagnate, and calm the mind and skin. Tip Laurel says Science: Our lymph system is an intricate network of tissues, vessels, and fluid that has many tasks. One task that is closely associated with skin health is it rids the body of metabolic waste, commonly referred to as ‘toxins’. The lymph system can easily get stagnant when health or diet is poor, and as we age, the lymph system can become more burdened. When lymph is not flowing smoothly and ridding the body of waste effortlessly, this shows up as dull, lifeless skin that functions poorly and can contribute to secondary symptoms such as acne, rosacea, and hyperpigmentation. Essential Oils as medicine: There is so much controversy in the industry today over essential oils, and whether or not they should be utilized in skin care. The truth is that essential oils are misused. They are one of the most potent medicines that herbalists have in their arsenal, but trained herbalists would never recommend how they are being used today: undiluted, improper concentrations, ingested, etc.
Our products are quite different. We use essential oils with great care and caution, and they are a part of the plant medicine that makes our formulas so effective. The total percentage of essential oils in our Unburden Serum is .25% (one quarter of one percent). There are whole plants that have higher percentages of essential oils than this. This is considered a ‘micro-dose’ and cannot have a negative impact on the skin’s barrier or the microbiome. In fact, we find that all our products that contain essential oils have a positive effect on both. Ritual: I believe in the power of lymph for beautiful skin and do what I can to support its functioning. The Unburden Serum is a product that I feel supports and stimulates lymph functioning quite significantly, in a slow and steady kind of way. I use this product in conjunction with warm towel compressing as well as gentle and slow face massage; in particular with Gua Sha tools or Jade Roller tools which also help to give our lymph a gentle nudge. Manual Lymphatic Drainage is an incredibly valuable type of massage that many of our partnering estheticians are trained and highly skilled in. I highly recommend this type of facial massage for an entirely new approach to vibrant-aging and skin wellness. How to Use Put 3-5 drops onto fingertips and press onto clean face and neck. Apply Elixir first for hydration, followed by Serum and then Balm. This
