Brand Bio We could imagine a line of skin care products as good for the environment as they were for our skin-cleansing as well as hydrating, natural yet effective. Products so natural we could eat them-after all, our skin is one of the most absorbent organs on the body and we are what we eat. We wanted a simple selection of essential products that would eliminate the mess in our medicine cabinets and dopp kits. A line of products so nourishing and well-designed it would seem mother nature invented them herself. and they should smell great, too. We could imagine it, but we couldn’t find these products anywhere. Finally, we took matters into our own hands. The result is GafferΧld, a line of timeless personal care products made in small batches from organic, plant-based ingredients. GafferΧld’s line of wholesome and effective products are designed in Los Angeles and produced in the United States. Made with sustainably sourced ingredients, by skincare experts who have been making organic small batch products for decades, GafferΧld offers a clean solution to your daily personal care routine. But GafferΧld provides more than just great products and service, we represent a lifestyle and philosophy of caring about our wellbeing as well as our environment. Grigore of GafferΧld Founder Q&A What inspired you to create your brand?
I started caring about skincare at a very young age. Being the oldest child with a single parent was difficult for me, and during that time I found comfort in self-care routines. Masks, scrubs, anything that smelled good and felt good. As I grew older I was disappointed with the options available in stores, none of the products were in line with my core beliefs. Anyone that knows me knows that living mindfully, eating conscientiously, and fitness are a huge part of my life. I wanted to create products that were in keeping with those values, and would make others feel good. I started GafferΧld so I could be a part of your morning routine, I wanted to be the one that made you smile every morning, while making sure the products that make you smile make others smile too (family farms with fairly paid and fairly treated employees). I wanted to create a routine that would spread consciousness through the community, not be just another brand to choose from. If you could go back to the beginning of the creation of your brand what would you do differently?
I would’ve started earlier. I had to hit a point in my life where I just wasn’t concerned with what others thought of me. It’s difficult to be male in an industry dominated by women without focusing exclusively on men’s skincare. We’ve designed a concise line of basics that can be shared between partners and generations. Our products can be used by children without worry. We’ve put a lot of thought into making products that are versatile while maintaining the best possible quality. What advice do you have to offer for those entrepreneurs in the green beauty industry just starting out?
Don’t worry about what other people are doing or saying. You should be most concerned about what your soul is craving, and be true to that. Everyone’s path is different, so it’s important to satisfy that hunger to express your true self. When you do, doors will open for
